The wellbeing of our customers, staff and community is our highest priority. We are guided by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and we are closely monitoring the ever-evolving COVID-19 situation. We are strictly following our COVID-19 protocols across all our activities, walks and transport.

We want everyone who has booked one of our activities, walks or transport to know we are doing everything we can to keep you safe and provide a welcoming destination and experience.

All of our guides are fully vaccinated, but we do not require vaccine certificates.

We are 100% committed to looking after our environment.  For 10 years we’ve been planting natve trees and trapping predators for the past 5 years.  We attract guests that appreciate that we are giving back more than we are taking away.  We fully involve guests with at least one of our projects during their time with us.  While we still have room to improve (we would love to operate electric 4WD’s but we don’t have a suitable option…yet.)  We’ve calculated our carbon footprint at 30.5 tC02 (for the 2019-20 year) and are constantly working to reduce this. 

We’re always open to making an experience work in the time you have available so please drop us a line and we will see what we can do.

Please contact us if you wish to jump on last minute and we will do our best to accommodate you!

Each tour must reach a minimum number of 2 to run with the exception on private tours. If your tour is cancelled due to minimum number we will do our best to reschedule you at a time that suits or offer you another tour to join. If this is not possible, we will refund your tour.

We can take up to a maximum of 40 persons on a tour, with prior arrangement. Please contact us to discuss.

A picnic lunch is provided on private walks, and refreshments on all other tours. Please advise us of any dietary requirements.

No. Our tours are commercially run only, and are located on private land. For health and safety reasons, people may not access the farms without a guide. Safety is our top priority, for this reason, any persons accessing the land without permission will be presented with a trespass order. You can book a tour with us online however if you wish to explore these amazing locations, it is a spectacular experience and we would love to take you up there!

If there is no availability on the day that you want, please get in touch by emailing us at:bookings@ridgelinesnz.com .  We will always get back to you regardless and do our best to accommodate when possible! If you have a group of 4 or more and you have no availability on any other open dates, we can look to open up a tour for you.

We can cater for almost everyone, including those in wheelchairs!

There are 2 bus companies that travel to wanaka daily, intercity and ritchies transport. We recommend hiring a car if the cost is affordable as this will allow you to meet any departure time, and stop and enjoy the scenery on the way!

Yes! Our 4WD’s can be booked for weddings and events, or we can provide one way or return drop offs to some great remote locations. Get in touch to find out more! 

We will endeavour to contact you before the day, or at least 2 hours before if we need to delay the trip, or cancel. Please let us know if you have flexible availability.

We can get you to where you want to go, anytime, anywhere!

Including but not restricted to:

  • Track Pickup / Drop offs  (Raspberry Flat, Motatapu, Makarora)
  • 4WD roads (Macetown, Nevis Road, Ahuriri Conservation Area, Skippers Canyon)
  • Event transport

I acknowledge that ridgeline adventures will take all reasonable and practical steps to keep me safe while I am involved with this activity however, I accept full responsibility for my own actions or inactions. I agree to follow all instructions given to me by ridgeline adventures staff and guides. I have declared that I am medically fit to undertake this tour and have disclosed any relevant dietary requirements or medical conditions directly to my driver/guide today and in the box below.  Any necessary medication must be carried by me for any medical conditions I have. I understand there are risks involved in the outdoor activities I will be undertaking, I also understand that an unpredictable or uncontrolled event may occur. I have been informed of any significant hazards associated with the activity I am about to undertake and I am willing to assume the risks associated with those hazards. Yes! Also, if you need to cancel with us last minute, we can write you a letter to provide your insurance company with if required.

We will offer a full refund if:

  • You have given at least 24hrs notice to cancel.
  • We cancel due to weather, and you cannot reschedule
  • We cancel due to minimum numbers are not reached.

Sorry, No refunds will apply to:

  • Cancellations within 24hrs of the departure date.
  • Late arrivals or no shows on the day.

 

We reserve the right to cancel trips if the minimum number of 2 is not reached, weather conditions, and if the clients are not deemed suitable by the guide on arrival.

Payment via direct bank credit is offered to bookings by phone or email. Phone or email bookings are also welcome to pay via credit card which will incur the fee outlined below.

Credit card payments will incur a 2.9% fee which is added at the time of payment.

Direct website bookings will incur a 2.9% credit card fee.

Bookings will only become confirmed upon receipt of full payment to Ridgeline Adventures.
